I always say the Jeff is the “better mother” between the two of us.
I am saying that not to sound cute but to give credit to the man , who really works really hard to provide for the family and do his share in raising the mutants in a home filled with love, care and discipline.
Jeff is our leader – and we follow his lead. Every decision made that affects the family is thoroughly discussed between the two of us. We “language” with the twins and tell them the importance of listening to their parents.
We always say “I love you” to them and Jeff gives Antoinette flowers regularly. We make sure that Nicholas witnesses that too. It is our belief that every time “we” do that, we are teaching Antoinette a lesson: “That a girl deserves to be treated well. ” We hope that when she grows up to be a teenager and starts dating (I am teary eyed thinking about that), she has her standards set. We let Nicholas see it because we would like him to know that girls, like his sister, should be treated with care and love.
Sundays are our family days and last Sunday (September 14), the destination was the pool. We let the twins walk on their own and it has been really fun. Here are the photos:
