Truth be told, I have participated in too many massive open online courses. I also took one graduate degree on an online platform and I am still finishing another one still in the same digital learning environment.
You can say I am a little bored with it. So when I was told that I got a free course on Udemy with Eat, Pray, Love royalty Elizabeth Gilbert, I wasn’t expecting a life-changing, thought-provoking, mind-blowing experience.
The online course carried the technical title: “Acumen Presents: Elizabeth Gilbert’s Creative Workshop” which promises that the learns will be “equipped with practical tools and inspiration to jumpstart your creative journey”.
I wasn’t sold out at first.
I LIKED Eat, Pray, Love but I abhorred its follow-up book, Committed.
But the first video of this course already changed the way I think and feel about Miss Gilbert.
Miss Gilbert teaches this course with a nurturing authority having been a student of creativity herself. When she gives her students a piece of advice on how to carry out exercises that will bring out your curiosity, you know she knows what she’s talking about.
No pretenses, no lies.
She is for real.
Miss Gilbert is introspective and then she cascades her inner learnings to her students with a vibrant light that carries you a particularly long and exhausting day.
She is a revelation in this course.
I don’t want to reveal much about this course because it will take away the magic and the slap in the head I sorely needed which I hope you will too experience as you move along the 14 videos.
I believe this course was made for men and women in different stages of our lives. Whether you are single and uncertain about what careers to pursue or in your 50s but suddenly finds yourself devoid of passion, this course is screaming YOU.
Walk through each video and experience the soothing exercise of being with the now. The activity templates in this course are guidelines to a better and more productive life. How Liz Gilbert paced the whole course is a skill accorded to a person who is both sensitive and creative.
Miss Gilbert is a good writer.
In tnis Udemy course, I found out she is a more awesome teacher.

Udemy is a global educational marketplace with more than 12 million student students learning from an extensive library of 40,000 courses taught by expert instructors. You can also download the app from Google Play, which I highly recommend because it makes it easier for you to “study” your course wherever, whenever. The app is user-friendly and in all the online learning platforms I have encountered in the last three years, the Udemy app, by far, is the most convenient and most efficient.
