Thaw a pound of ground meat (pork or beef) in room temperature. You can choose to use the microwave if you’re in a hurry but doing so changes meat texture and flavor so if you have time, skip the microwave.
Put non-stick pan over low heat. Place meat followed by garlic, shallots, and sweet pepper. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
Add olive oil. Season with salt, black pepper, and soy sauce.
Continue cooking over medium heat as meat turns brown for another 10 minutes.
