Isn’t it nice when someone comes right up to you and says hello? Or perhaps wishes you a good day?
It is just the same for a child when someone looks at a little one and says hello.
Just watch the reaction.
We humans are hardwired like that. We like it when someone compliments the clothes we wear or that we were thought of.
Children need that self-same level of enthusiasm and compliments – never ending, never ceasing; and when it comes to motivating a child to read, a positive compliment is worth so much.
What parent does not want their child to succeed in life? To become a person of worth? Of course every parent does want for their children every opportunity they may or may not had had themselves.
It all starts with a book.
Put a book in your newborn’s hands and compliment them – never ending, never ceasing.
Encourage and show them how to turn the page and see the magic that is waiting for them.
Remember that Einstein did not get his smarts from a pill or from sitting like a lump in front of the TV set!
