Cebu, Philippines – It was June 17, 2013 when I dragged my brother, Kevin to the Best Western Plus Lex Cebu to be my bodyguard to a photoshoot. I was heavy at 180 pounds pregnant with fraternal twins, Nicholas Louis and Antoinette Elena. My Inquirer editor, Connie Fernandez, was my hotel sponsor. My friend, Binky, was my stylist and make-up artist. My fellow Basadour, UPian and Mass Communication alumna, Eva Marie Gamboa was my photographer. My good friends, Jessie Cubijano and Third Baqueriza, provided me with the most comfortable dress shirt in the world that made posing easier. My husband, Jeff, gave me this Chinese robe for no particular reason – and it seemed to have found its purpose in this shoot.
The boy in the photo is my nephew, Timothy Uriel, whom I consider as my eldest son because he grew up with me.
